Welcome to John Parker Arena
I want to let all of you know that one of our own, Allen McClelland, was seriously injured after being thrown from a horse.  It seems as though he fractured his pelvis badly. He is in Charlotte Regional in Punta Gorda right now awaiting a transfer to Lee Memorial to see a specialist.  Please join me in praying for his swift and complete recovery.
We are still waiting on a date for the equine dentistry clinic.  As soon as we have one, I will be in contact with those of you that were interested.
We have some news about 2009 memberships.  Anyone that pays for the 2009 membership by December 31st, 2008 will receive $5.00 off our regular family membership price of $35.00.  Please either get with one of us at a meeting or show, or see our new membership page on this website.
I hope that as you read this you are all well and happy and enjoying God's many blessings.  As those of you who have been attending our shows already knows, our new announcer, Mr. Bill Stander donated a flag and pole to our club and since then we have be starting our show with the National Anthem.  This month, we are honored and blessed to have Dr. Ted Land of First Presbyterian Church of Arcadia delivering an opening prayer.
See you all Saturday, November 15th.  Exhibition barrels at 5pm, show starts at 6pm.
Blessings to you all,
Shirley
For those of you that do not know us, we are a local civic organization dedicated to providing a place for families to share knowledge, fellowship and a love of horses.
We are best known for our Quadrille team.  This talented and dedicated group of equestrians perform for rodeos, horse shows and a variety of events.  This amazing team puts on a show that pushes the limits of horse and rider beyond what most of us can conceive.  It is a performance not to be missed.
We are proud to be able to hold a speed show each third Saturday of every month with the exception of December.  Our shows are open to the public and include barrels, flags, pole bending, buddy pick-up and a special event that promises to test the ability of horse and rider.  We have events for all age classes.  If you plan to bring your horse you should be aware that for the health and safety of our horses and yours, we require proof of negative Coggins for all animals on the grounds.  We check at the gate and allow no exceptions.
We hold our meetings on the second Tuesday of every month.  We enjoy a covered dish supper prior to the meeting.  This is where the decisions are made that effect every member of the club and we invite all members to attend.
Please feel free to contact me at any time.
